What is the Fire Element?

Five Element theory, also called 5-rhythms is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and was developed thousands of years ago. The five elements are water, wood, fire, earth, metal. Each element has organs, bodily functions, emotions, common illnesses, strengthens, challenges, themes, life lessons and a season that they are associated with the element. Our body naturally uses all the elements at different times. However, when energy is not flowing properly as a result of emotional or physical imbalance, elements themselves can become out of balance.
